I’m Alvin Hayes, a 50-year-old communications professional living in Rockville, Maryland just outside of Washington, D.C. I’m making a commitment to transform my consumption-oriented, carbon emitting existence to become more green-friendly. I started this blog as an attempt at self-examination to think about and discuss the types of serious lifestyle changes that are necessary to live in an sustainable manner. You’ll enjoy reading the installments; but more importantly, I hope you’ll consider your own journey to enironmental sustainability. Feel free to share your own stories and helpful hints that can make the journey more enjoyable…or at least more palatable…for everyone.
I hope it works! The you can start pestering Bush about it!
cheers

Hi Alvin,
What a nice blog you have! I feel like we never had the chance to connect at ESS with all the craziness and I want you to know that I really respect you and your work! You’re a super neat guy and I am glad to know you!

Thanks to Roy and Alison for their taking time to provide information regarding St. Mark’s carbon fast. It’s very much appreciated. Hope to thank you in person at an upcoming worship service.
Sorry I missed you when we were in DC.
Love the blog.
